The University of WA is calling for applications for three UWA postdoctoral Fellowships.
Details are available at
If you can identify a potential candidate, please ask him / her to email a CV to me as soon as possible.
While the web site gives details, the following aspects apply.
(i) Applications can be submitted only through a department and physics has a limit of two applications
(for competition with about 50 other departments). Preselection by the physics department is necessary
since considerably more than two applications are usually received.
(ii) The closing date in the Physics Department is Thursday 12 March. A detailed application is then
prepared by the applicant with help from the department.
(iii) Sergey Samarin and I are looking for experimental expertise in positron physics, particularly for
low energy surface studies and applications of positron(ium) annihilation techniques to materials.
(iv) Competition in previous years has been exceptionally strong. To obtain departmental preselection,
an applicant can be expected to have about 3 to 5 years experience, of the order of 20 publications in
international journals, a high international profile of conference lectures and excellent support from
at least three referees.
